more about school.

I think they have a name for such period - submission week or something, i.e. the week whereby project deadlines draw near (or for some absent minded, is over).

Surprisingly, I am in the mood to get started with the catching up (a major one I need). As always, it's difficult to take that first step. Time factor is one thing now that I am juggling a zillion projects (2 due next week, 1 on track and 2 barely à urps). Fleeting attention span is another – there’s always something more interesting isn’t it?

At the very least, I will just get all cracked up when the final exams come. Stress and probably ranting that no one understands what I’m going through. Tears when I think I can’t take it any longer.

Bah. It’s a vicious cycle, and I have no intention of breaking that cycle.

No regrets, ‘cause I know given a second chance, I’ll probably do the same.

-----------------------------------------

Lesson of the day:

My very interesting tutor reminded us,
“we can’t change the environment, but we can change ourselves to suit the environment and make the environment better."

GEK1006 Dynamics of Interpersonal Relationship is a crap module, in the sense it teaches you some really no brainers stuff like how to respond to an angry person, verbal and non-verbal cues, etc. I haven't been attending lectures 'cause the lecture is at an ungodly time of 8am. Tutorials I did attend and seriously, never a dull moment. Basically just go there with an open mind, be ready to make friends and share your experiences. Conclusion: Go take it if you've yet to clear your GEM. (Wait, I don't know how easy it is to score yet.)

Wednesday, September 28, 2005

schoollll.

Lemme see. Other than the 6 final exams, I have to go through 2 more midterms and 4 more projects to clear this semester.

(Edit: I have 5 projects, not 4. horrors* but the good news is I'll be clearing 2 next week and we are almost done. good-ies.)

Funny thing is I ain't very stress. The fact that I ain't studying probably explains it all. The only thing I’m doing right now is fulfilling my role as a responsible project mate - a role which I’ve fare well so far.

Did I say I suck at prioritizing?

Now that Collin is back in sg, I am giving myself a convenient excuse that I can't study when he is around - which is true 'cause I’ll choose to go out with him over studying any day. (We are going sentosa this weekend - again!) So I’m counting on him to get out of sg again, something which he's doing a lot now that he is in atec (some kind of evaluation unit that requires him to travel a lot).

He’ll be leaving for Australia next month for a one-solid-month trip. While I am sad he’ll be leaving for so long (perhaps the longest we ever been away from each other), it could very well be a good thing too. Some time for me; for friends; for school (sure hope I get my arse down to do some work).

Speaking of school, I’m kind of satisfied with what I am doing right now. If nothing goes wrong, I may very well wind up where I want to be in future. Events? Advertising? We’ll see.

For one, I should really stop negating myself. If I think I ain’t up to it, I’ve probably lose half the battle.

From I can’t, I can’t, I’m going to be I can, I can!

pls help do this survey.

pls be kind and help do this survey on mp3 players, Creative mp3 players specifically.

http://freeOnlineSurveys.com/rendersurvey.asp?id=116984

it's for my project and i need to gather 200 respondents so pls click the above link!! anonymity guaranteed.

thankies in advance. :)

hairy affair.

(i just lose this fucking long post twice. lucky i could recover part of it the 1st time and was alert enough to copy-paste it on Word the 2nd time round.. else.. there's no else.. resign to fate that blogger always has to screw up when it's a freaking long post. -_-" anyway, here goes..)

be warned:
if you find any form of body hair disgusting (esp. leg hair), you are HIGHLY advise to leave this page immediately. the following images may caused some extreme discomfort (though the end result is extremely pleasing to the eye and touch).

you are warned. proceed (no one really leaves after all that said right?).

now everyone who knows collin,
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

knows he has a pair of really hairy legs.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

and with the look on our faces, you may have guess...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com

yes, you are right. tonight we are going to change that.

'cause we bought this: Veet Rasera.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

and this (the green one - says aloe vera, moisturising)!

just in case one bottle (of rasera) ain't enough.

i swear the process is highly unglam and there's this rather pungent smell, akin to ammonia - that hair dye smell.
(edit: picture removed.)

but after 5 minutes, freakanathan! look!
(edit: picture removed.)

the hair is coming off so easily, you don't really need the plastic blade they provide. i couldn't resist.. and did this!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
until collin chased me out and i went to his room to sulk and watch teevee for him not wanting my help.

(i know how i am grossing you out big time but look further..)

moments later, he comes in with the verdict.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
wah lau eh!!

remember how it looks like not?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com
before after

it's true!! that satin finish veet claims. my stubbly legs (in comparison) can only hide in the darkest corner of the room now that i am lazy to use the electronic epilator. but this! THIS is so convenient and rather hassle free. i shall wait for the regrowth to see if it is really good. ha.. collin's the guinea pig.

anyway, for now, we are bely bely satisfied.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
whoo*

disclaimer: lest you think collin did this for me (to be my guinea pig), you are so so wrong 'cause this boyfriend of mine is extremely vain and has been toying with the idea for eons. but i love the results. bwah. and i love you, vainpot. nice legs.. *wolf whistle*

--------------------------------------------------

if all that's said about the face is true, no one - i say NO ONE - shall comment on my complexion even if it does improve.

if you have to say something, com'on talk to me about the weather or anything at all 'cept about my face. though chances are you won't been seeing me nowadays 'cause i will be hiding from the world.

argh. kidding 'bout the latter. but major sigh..

i don't want to fall into this whole patangness thing - don't talk about cramps, don't talk about complexion - but with a situation like mine, guess it's better to safe than sorry. bah.

gotta go give my attention seeking whore face some TLC - bought the highly moisturising Olay salon mask (i like!) to compensate for the excessive benzoyl peroxide i applied (that's Oxy Cover anyway) the last coupla' days.

pls be nice to me. i've got school tmr. pretty pls. *doe eye*

(nods) because you wanted to meet more people?

die! die! die! i embrace u but u hit me back double.

die! die! die! i embrace u but u hit me back double.

it's gonna be a rant-y post today.

cause..

cause..

my skin condition, ie complexion, just took a turn for the WORSE in one freaking day!!

i think it's rashes but rashes are supposed to be numerous and small and red and itchy. but mine is F**KING MANY and BIG and RED and ITCHY (don't worry, i dare not scratch it a single bit)!!!

looks like some kind of allergy but the only not usual thing i've consumed was a tiny weeny gulp of kilkenny the night before. and my face was okay when i woke up in the morning, i only discovered the bumps when i was to go out in the evening. how could it had transpire over the day???

tmd. seriously, i don't know what i do. fact is i probably have not done anything at all. i think my face is cursed. one and a half years - that's how long this (sudden) breakout been traumatising me. indeed traumatising.

MAJOR SIGH~

it's saddening 'cause just one day ago, i've received numerous comments on how my skin condition has improved lately. and NOW!?!?!?

i find my situation amusingly exasperating. helpless. i must have spent hundreds but it seems like they are attention seekers. the more attention and care you shower them, the more rebellious they become.

i say GET LOST!!!

i don't want to see the world till it gets better. pls ignore me. :(

meetup with the babes+hunk.

met up with the usual people yesterday - geo, (me,) meiqi, fang, meng and ting, in order of punctuality. see, we people arrive in style and

LATENESS is our style.

no wonder they say birdies of the same feather flock together. haha.

anyway, it was a great gossiping bitching whining catching up session, 'cept the fact i was cringing and squirming in my seat the bulk of the time 'cause stupid cramps and a splitting headache were killing me.

and because i was feeling horrible, there is only one shot for the day (even though the night before i had charged both my batteries for the session). presenting to you..

Geo and Meiqi.
(tt's geo looking weirdly decent in her formal for some prosecution role she plays in her biz law class today.)

it is a small small world. eunice, who is my girl pal in jc, is now geo's girl pal in SMU. whee* now we can all hang out together. been a long time since i saw that sweetie who always go, "ni shi zhu mah?" though geo says she doesn't say that anymore. haha.

and my long time neighbour is fang's friend and according to fang, he is hardworking and smart and is on the dean's list. i live one storey above him but it doesn't make me any smarter leh. Duh! haha.

crazy or unconventional ting, up to you to decide, has done something to scare her poor mum again. haha..

BALD TING!!!

forgotten to take her pic yesterday but this is how she look like when she freshly shave her mane. her hair's growing out pretty fast. it's about an inch when we saw her yesterday. haha.. nice. and ZANY!

wokay. glad all's wells. love you people.. till we meet again, take care all. :)

smile peepx.

sorry for all the nonsensical posts the last few days.
sorry to all who bother to come to my blog and yet, have to take my shite.

perhaps it's the staying at home. perhaps it's near the time of the month. that send you on a roller coaster ride whereby one moment, i was delirious and the world seems like the best place to be and the very next moment, i question the existence of everything and hope the earth would just swallow me up.

mood swings. horrifying.

but thing is - i am happy now.

i realise happiness, or i rather my happiness, seems to really be dependent on the few individuals. and this may not be a good thing at all. got to learn to be independent really.

i am glad some of my friends are walking out of the shadows. you guys know who you are (no want to name in case i missed out any), i am feeling happy for you people. sincerely.

life ain't that bad actually. it's the mindset really.

do you want to be happy or sad today?

let's all be...

happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy. happy.

smile.

we have more reasons to be happy than sad.

we have more reasons to be happy than sad.

corn loaf makes me happy.

(don't try to link the two statements up 'cause yep, there ain't any linkage.)

i am feeling slightly perked today and i can forsee tomorrow to be a better day.

the day after tomorrow will be better than better and the day after the day after tomorrow will be better than better than better and the day after the day after the day after tomorrow will be better than better than better than better, and so on.. you get my drift. truth is i am bored and sleepy and not thinking.

the glass is half full huh? :)

i want to say it again - we have more reasons to be happy than sad.

sentosa and the longest yard. love*

Yesterday's Sentosa trip with Collin was great, even though according to his friend's brother, it's one of the worse days to be at the beach 'cause the sun's directly over the hole in our wretched ozone layer.

To which Collin says, heck - let's go ahead.

True to his words, it was blazing hot. But in my words, THAT is the true Sentosa spirit - cloudless blue blue skies. I like.

And we had fun. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't really bother capturing the moment but more of, immersing myself in the moment itself. So these are the only 3 shots I took:

his expensive Oakleys and my cheap cheap BKK chunkys.

We went for a movie after that - The Longest Yard, which Collin had just watched with his friends the day before. But it was so nice, he didn't mind watching it with me again.

of the show, I give it 4 popcorns. of his company, 5 popcorns. :)

I had no jacket alright but (wet) towel suffice too, and it couldn't be any better. love*

the ultimate.

this is the ultimate.

extract from some conversation, somewhere, somehow:

"last time UG so famous and popular - like everywhere you girls go, all the attention is on you all."

"all the guys fell in love with like one of the girls inside."

"then you gals looks very dao, always in ur own clique."

"so i didn't know you are so friendly until i talk to you."

the person probably mean no harm but that seriously feels like she is immortalising us (i am trying hard not to say apple-polish, since there is really no reason she should do that). But hell, she make us sound like we are part of some high school flick, the F4 category mind you - all the dumb exclusivity. WTF.

yes, pretty exclusive us. but we ain't dao wokay.. we are like the friendliest people around (or so we claim, but we are okay whattt). we don't move slow-mo with wind in our hairs and there are definitely no guys falling all over the pavement as we walked. finally, the world doesn't stop and watch in awe each time a tiny muscle of ours twitch. wah rao.. hilarious.

With that, you deserve a truly sianified look from us:

ha.. we are actually very nice, and can be sweet if you don't step on our tails that is.

LOVE, UG

i am extremely pissed.

seriously.

who the FUCK send a 46.7mb file to the central library printer for printing and happily jam up the bloody queue just because poor souls like us choose to send out print jobs to that same printer?

MORON.

----------------------------

how do you tell someone you really dislike the way he/she has done something?

by saying nothing.

i suck. where's the guts?

TMD*

note: took bloody 8 minutes to finish printing that humongous file. get a life, it's FRIDAYYY. i'm getting out of here, as fast as my legs can bring me. bah!

Happily bankrupt!!!

Mango has really nice clothes this season. If I'm not wrong, it's the fall/winter collection.

OmG!! I love this dress but it costs a freaking S$249. Who has this kind of money? I don't have! or at least I won't splurge on a dress just like that - which I have no idea where I can wear to. Since I have got no moolahs, I can still try for the kick of it. Sadly, it gives me no waistline, probably 'cause I tried too large a size. But it's nice right!? (My mum hates it 'cause according to her, it makes the boobies looks big in an auntish fashion. I swear it's the lighting larr~ I maintain it's a gorgeous dress and in my favourite material too - the satin kind.)

The back view.
I am a sucker for big bows and look! big black satin halter!! oh-ma-ma* I would say I prefer the back view more. somehow i am still not use to having the waist hem at the waistline and not at the hips. Hipsters are the zeitgeist, and hopefully will still be.

Since I get no dress, and I have got some NUM vouchers - I bought new havaianas (S$5 off *ching*).
And Collin got new AussieBum undies (S$5 off *ching*) and Zirh facial cleanser (S$5 off *ching*). Haa.. Discount vouchers actually make you spend more, don't they?

After Simlim, where Collin bought screen protectors for his new loves - his blue Ipod mini and precious D500C, we headed to Bugis Street to find food. Only to realise the hawker is gone and to take it place, many many girly stores. And I saw this:
Bwahaha.. So prettyyyy!! and vintage looking. I bought it and realised, after a few seconds, I just spend all my remaining allowance for this month. Shit* Gonna dip into my reserve again!

But I am HAPPILY BANKRUPT!!!

I love angular jaws. I love his angular jaws. Though it's increasingly playing hide and seek under the layers of fat, a good 30 degree tilt and a twitch of the muscle, I still see a hint of it!!!

Very sexy - angular jaws.

(Ruth, I know you are agreeing with me - both hands up.
Not his in particular but angular jaws in general larr.. drools*)

updates!

updates:
  1. i have 12pm tutorial on thursdays and i am never on time for it. today, i reach school before 12pm *surprise surprise* but there is no tutorial today.

  2. moral dilemma. for the 1st time in my life, i picked up a phone (a lousy phone though --> SGH x430) in school yesterday and i returned it. so honest huh? but i seriously can't say the same if it's a better phone. haa.

  3. i haven't gone on MSN for a record of 05 days.

  4. dad says we are going to move in a month's time - to the apartment across the road btw. based on past incidents, i am trying not to be too excited about it, in case they play me out again. but the idea of renovating my own room perks me up!!

  5. dad said yes to me keeping a dog at the new house after much persuasion from yours truly. need my mommy to give the final nod.. but it is not going to be easy to get her to say YESSSS!!

  6. collin is backkk and i am going to make him bring me eat all the food i hadn't have when he was away.

  7. next week is my term break!!! whee* all the way till thursday. not so fun 'cause gotta do major catching up with all my 6 modules and project meetings but i'll squeeze time out for meetups!! so you-guys-know-who-you-are, ask me out!!!

that's about it lar.. sorry for the incoherent thoughts and awkward phrasings. just as long as you are updated huh.. take care all.

the girls of CCPS meet after 8 long years.

note: i apologise if you have limited bandwidth, 'cause i'll prolly KILL all of them. and because it is my primary school gathering, and i was from this all girls school called Canossa Convent Primary School, you'll probably die from an overdose of sugary babes anyway. hahahaha. ready!?

8 years on.. we finally all gather at this place called..

East Coast Park.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

and cassandra brought her 14mth trevor along!
she don't grow an inch fatter after birth. *green with envy*
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

trevor is so cuddly cute i tell 'ya.
he likes to go "mum mum mum mum mum mum.." while doing his wobbly walk round the bed. and nearly gave quiying a shock when he wobble towards her and said "ma ma".
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
look at top most photo! haha. he took my camera and thot it is some kind of phone. he threw my camera btw. haha.. but i was quick enough to grab it before it drops down the bed. CUTE!!

angie tried to exercise some motherly love. we all agree she still lacks the maternal knack. haha.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

group pictures while waiting for more people to come.

angie looks hilarious! haha..

more people arrived, meaning another groupie.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
lemme see, now there's julia, sharon, wanjun, liling, lynn and yorkmun.

there you have it - from left to right:
julia, sharon, liling, wanjun and elaine.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

and yorkmun and lynn.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

we had laugh about lynn's height 'cause except for qiuying, the four of us used to be the same height back in those days. apparently she stopped growing after that. haha.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
(height difference exaggerated 'cause we tip toe a lil but it's really half a head difference. haha.)

angie was my class mate for all my 6 years in CCPS. (hey, you didn't believe you do wear hair band right? haha.. i finally dig out one that you do. haha.)

tadah!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
the extreme left in blue is angie, extreme's right in red is lynn and me in orange tee-shirt. i must have look like a malnorished kid.. thin and dark. omg the hair!

in fact, we are so hideous even my attempt to mask the old-school look with a sepia tone couldn't save us.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
ha.. pinnacle of ugliness. anyone to challenge? haha.

our parting shot.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

most of all, kudos to cheryl for organising this bbq. thankkkk youuuuu!!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

it took us 8 years to all gather together. when's the next time we'll meet? another 8 years?

maybe by then, we will all be cuddling our own little babies. smacking cool..
