Photo shoot & my 21st with UG.

I was out with Sindy from morning through afternoon for a photo shoot with some CS photographers on Saturday. Summing up, I would describe the experience as being different. I had my fair share of fun – insecurities aside – and hadn’t regret turning up.

THANKS SINDY for calling me along! I’m glad to be doing this with you. :)

If the photos turn up well, I’ll perhaps post a few here – provided you don’t laugh at the propriety of it.

---------------------

Back to the birthday celebration with UG – as mentioned earlier, I thought it was the most organized ‘event’ we had in ages.

Geo, Meiqi, Me, Fang.
Calling for Ting. We need you to be B.I.A (back in action).

For one, I was truly surprised there was a cake involved – a delectable ice cream cake from Swensens. Kudos to Meiqi’s bf, Sean who brought it in ever so discreetly.

In future, just ONE candle will do.

And just when I thought that was it – they dished out THE present. A silver envelope with $140 stashed in between an insincerely written card. (Ha, you know my feedback.)

Hot 'mama', Geo.

WAH WAH WAH!!! Coming from UG; reimbursement for my spendthrift act at Raoul. Thanks so much, it was most unexpected. (I did the wish list as a joke really.)

Of course, we got to give credits to Meiqi (and Sean) for recommending this wonderful venue called Secret Garden – good ambience, good food and more importantly, great company.

Meng, we’ll make up to you this year k. (Last year you were busy mah, hor?)

Fang / and Meng's new sunglasses from Fang.

Once again, thanks to FANG, GEO, MEIQI, MENG, RON and SEAN for making it happen. (Oh, Ron! Welcome to UG!) I enjoyed myself through and through – all that catching up and bitching. Lalala.

I LOVE YOU, YOU, YOUUU.

P.S. Some of you may have realise I end all my recent posts loving somebody. As surface talk as it may seem, it's not! I count my blessings that my 21st is celebrated with people I love and who love me in return.

Still counting. *wink*

blessings. :)

I didn't realise until Sindy told me that I looked red in the photos. Urg. I do look SO RED like I've mistakenly applied blush, instead of foundation, over my entire face.

Look what alcohol does to you?

Improved blood circulation, that is. And also rashes for me and dear Weilin. Haha. Man, we suck.

Shall blog about my dinner with UG later today, got to study for my test which will take place in approximately 8 hours time. In a nutshell, it was the most well planned dinner we had in years. Haha. And I'm really touched - the cake, the present, the CARD (heh).

Thank you my darlings (and the darlings of my darlings).
I adore you guys to bits.

Happy (puking) 21st.

(green face) *puke.

I did it again. Sigh. I realize my body reaction to alcohol negatively increases by a notch each time I consume any. On a continuum, it goes from being really high (then puke – which is well worth it), to feeling moderately high (then puke - which is still acceptable) to the latest, being sober and puking.

My starhub babes - looking hot!
The picture is incomplete without you dorcassss.

So puking is like the only constant. And it all takes on to a new level this time round because besides that queasy stomach, I was near blacking out and everything was in a blur. Thing is, NO, i didn't drink a lot - i just can't hold my alcohol. period.

In Weilin’s words, “I think you better stick to cocktails”. Hell right.

The 26/02 girls.

Because i was feeling so terrible after that, Xiang, Yiyi and I regrettably didn't join the rest to Zouk (for its better music and crowd). Urg. It shouldn't end this way, let's go Zouk next time alrighty!!! (And i'll stick to mild cocktails. Boo.)

Sweet Rosaline and hot babe, Peggy. :)

The only interesting thing that happened was having this (drunk) guy grabbed my hand as I was getting out of the cab at MoS and he went, "follow me". Bah, the whole thing happened so fast and on hindsight, in a pretty amusing manner - I don't know to be offended or not.

I wished I had reacted more steadfastly. All I went was "NO" to him and "why should i follow him" to Yiyi and Xiang who's in the cab with me. Shucks.

Reviewing MoS, I was kind of disappointed at the way it is – I mean there is really nothing special about their main arena or smoove or 54. And the music don’t really work for me.

A very high Maomao (Winnie)
and her friend, whose name i didn't catch.

It’s such a pity the music sucks because the company was great!!! Thanks you girls for coming down and special thanks to Peggy and Rosaline (did I spell it wrong?) for the gift. You guys shouldn’t have – it wasn’t really meant to be a birthday celebration. Still, HUGGIES!!!

Oh, and THANKS all you babes for taking care of me – the are-you-oks, the limeade, the constant back patting, the hot milo, the missed calls and smses to make sure I’m home (but I've promptly fell asleep already).

Sindy/Pegs/Me

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
and I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!

And you know I ain’t shy with them..

#1) Good complexion

#2) Get rid of flabs, tone up!

#3) Driving license

#4) Straight As this semester

#5) A Canon camera

#6) A LV/Gucci wallet

#7) Anything that says Tiffany and Co.

Heh. Kidding. K lah, the more possibles.

You can kindly reimburse me – I am in the abyss of penniless-hood - for my recent impulse buys like:

#8) My Raoul shirt which cost me SGD139
(Pardon the pose, this pic is meant for insertion in the final report of my entrepreneurial project.)

OR

#9) This Mango floral print tube I bought just hours ago, while helping Ruth (my school mate) collect her spag at MNG Tampines. I can't help it, the top was screaming "Qimin!!!" and i consequently burnt another SGD49. Urg.

More importantly,

#10) I would like anything you get me, even if it’s just a small birthday cake or a piece of ang ku kueh (ok, I am kidding about this one).

But yea, I mean it – even if it is just a cake.

I’m just glad I’m spending this day with you guys. Reallyyyy.

With that said, anyone richer than me – you are free to donate to Help-Qimin-Shop Fund at the following posb savings account: 207-27889-0. Heh. Eternal gratitude.

----------------------------------

Girlies, see you people tonight!!!

I hope we rock.

Wait.

We will rock. ;)

You know we are close friends when:

They got one of them (Meng) to call me and DEMAND I do up a wish list by tonight.

Urg. My friends.

pre-celebration: vday & birthday. :)

The upcoming MoS trip is going to be fun, and very very HOT!

The ladies on the list so far are Sindy, Jasmyn, Weilin, Alicia, Huiling, Tzechia and Chaochia. We also have with us our dear friends like Peggy, Xiang and Yiyi.

Woah, that makes eleven of us. I am so excited about it!!!

Babes!!! Release all your inhibitions, mix around and make new friends ‘cause all the people listed above are the nicest people around, I swear.

Anyone else* wanna go? :)

* Only nice and hot people need apply.

---------------------------------------------

So anyway, I haven’t mention anything about my pre vday and birthday celebration with Collin.

It was a one and a half day celebration at Orchard Food Street (to exchange presents), at Sentosa (for the excessive tanning), at PhoChine (for Vietnamese cuisine at IndoChine) and finally at Balcony (for a sgd7 apple juice – urps).

Photos galore! :)

We love Sentosa.

And it's fine fine weather.

This daschund is called Rusty.

Dinner at PhoChine.

Chilling out at Balcony.

From him,

a diamante-rimmed Guess watch.

From me,

a classic green dial Kenneth Cole.

*smiles. :)

The countdown begins...

I took the liberty to use my sister’s laptop and log in to say:

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!!

It’s V-day and my lover left me for rural Thailand 1 day before this coveted day. Damn the army because that’s what they did last year too.

So twice he missed our V-day and more most importantly, TWICE he missed my birthday!

Unforgivable and it’s my 21st this year, hello?

Sidetracking, if you would look to the right, I have updated my countdown timer and YES, we are going to countdown to MY BIRTHDAY!

Self-centred? Maybe. But because this is my blog and I can – lets countdownnnn! Lalalaaa.

Those whom we should really be meeting up, please book me!!! You know who you are!!! And I want youuu, youuu, youuuu.

I am only taken on Wednesday night (22/02) so far. And it’s appropriate for me to insert the following broadcast at this juncture:
Girls (and guys, if you happen to book out) of 26/02,

Head down to MoS on 22nd February, 2006 to celebrate Weilin, Alicia and my birthday with us.

Come embark on our virgin journey to MoS (yes, we’ve never been there yet) and stand to be showered by our love and affection, in the presence of sizzling hot chicks like Sindy, Jasmyn and Huiling.

Tempted yet?

There ain’t any reason for you not to be there. For it’s ladies night – read: FREE admission for girls and read: LADIES for guys. (And we would love if you guys decide to drive down. Heh.)

What are you waiting for?

Be there or be square.
Hee. That’s a pretty tacky closing. But i hope you are excited already 'cause I AM!

Talking about virgin experience – I first clubbed exactly one year ago, on the 22nd of February. Laugh if you want. I don’t admit it’s cool but I don’t find that very much loser-ish either. Lalalaa.

And I remember it is a Friday because Sindy has brought me out for Mambo night at Zouk, together with Alicia, Fang and Meng. Haha. For a newbie, it’s hilarious to see the amazing array and degree of synchronization at Mambo.

And of course I remember how I puked repeatedly on Meng’s car after that, in a plastic bag. And how I broke out in rashes the day after. How Meng ill advise me to take water (without emphasising to sip), resulting in more puking. How Fang, Meng and I rushed down straight after clubbing to find a sad Ting at the airport. How Ting have to take care of me, instead of me healing/sharing her then broken heart. How Ting have to sleep on the mattress and I, her bed because I promptly fell asleep. How Ting and I spent the afternoon reminiscing. And to sum it all, a nice dinner with the 26/02 girls at Billy Bomber’s later that evening.

Amazing. Almost magical.

Thank you all for what you have given me.

in memory.

i am sorry guys.

my laptop officially R.I.P.-ed on me a few days back and i have just sent it in to the school's repair centre.

the guy at the repair centre said it is either due to a hard disk failure (!!!) or something else which i didn't hear. not that it really matters - i just need it fixed.

will be back indefinitely (when he gets it fixed).

i miss my laptoppp. :(

Ming Xin Nian (Idol Lookalike)?

I get this from people all the time, and from older people especially.

"You look like the girl from that vampire show."
I know who they are talking about because ever since the launch of that vampire show - perhaps round my lower secondary school times - the uncle at the nearby electronics store would say that as he marvels at the apparent likeness each time the show is screened.

To be more exact, it's this HK series called "My Date with a Vampire", or in Chinese – 《我和僵尸有个约会》。 So imagine 50 episodes, and I heard it 100 times – once before and once after.

Unfortunately, NONE of those who say so could ever put a finger to her name.

Out of boredom and after losing $16 at the mahjong table *rants*, I googled for her and here’s her profile:

Name: 文颂娴 / Annie Man
DOB: 20 July 1976
Place of Birth: HongKong
Chinese horoscope : Dragon
Horoscope: Cancer
Blood Type : B
Height: 1.63 m
Weight: 45 kg
And more pictures. See any similarities?

In my opinion, not really leh.

If there has to be some similarities, at least we both have a common problem, i.e. not being able to carry that au naturel sexy look.

Ackkk. Constipated.

Digression: I thought she look really pretty in ancient costumes.

Perhaps if I exercise more religiously,

and do my face exercises,

we'll look more alike.

Damn those cheeks!
