Shredminator Pebs.

I mean it when I say Pebble, as pathetic as she looks, can be quite a rascal.

And there are things she do that drive me to the edge of insanity. I don’t know if I should laugh or cry really.

Hereby, allow me to introduce…

SHREDMINATOR PEBS.

What is the temperature for evaporation?

I have a very intelligent nephew who calls himself "handsome boy Kenneth". Intelligent, yes, for topping his level twice out of the three years so far in his primary school. Handsome, wells, I suppose beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Haha.

We had a conversation that goes,

Him: You know what's the average room temperature in Singapore in the evening?
Me: Room temperature?
Him: The lowest and the highest.
Me: (wild guess) 26 degrees.
Him: To?
Me: (wild guess) 32?
Him: Correct.
Me: Huh!? --> In total amazement with myself.

Moments later,

Me: What are you learning for science this term?
Him: Water.
Me: What do you know about water?
Him: Water has three states - liquid, solid and gas. Liquid is water, solid is ice and gas is steam.
Me: Ok.
Him: The boiling temperature of water is 100 degrees, and the melting and the freezing temperature is zero degrees.
Me: Ok.
Him: You know what is the temperature for evaporation.
Me: (confidently) 100 degrees lah.
Him: No, it is at all temperatures. My teacher teachs me one.

I mean like DUH! Of course it is at all temperatures.

Moral of the story:
You can never assume that you can learn nothing from a 10 years old and that you know everything at the back of your hand.

Kids are getting so smart nowadays.

And darn, isn't that a trick question. Hmph.

... 'cause Pebble typed all that.

Stupid bitch, step all over my laptop.

Photoshoot with Sindy.

Alrighty, photos from the photoshoot.

Sorry I took so long. I mean what do you expect when there are near 200 photos to choose from. After much deliberation, here are the chosen ones.

Special thanks to Chaihong and Ng, the photographers from CS, for the great shots and Sindy for pulling me into this. I had fun. :)

Look what's in my mail!

I’m so going to pay for what I am doing now. Yes, blogging.

And the payment comes in no other form other than SLEEP DEPRIVATION.

Bah. Never mind about that. One more sleepless night doesn’t mean anything after many nights of little-sleep. Man, I am living a dream nowadays, i.e. barely awake. I can’t wait for the arrival of Sunday to take my long over due breather.

Anyway, subject proper.

Q. WHAT DO PEOPLE DO DURING THE PRE-EXAMINATION PERIOD?

* anyone?

* yes, you over there!

A. THEY DO ANYTHING BUT STUDY!

Bingo!

And for me, it paid off. Kind of. Haha.

Look what arrive in my mail:

I won a Dior beauty set worth S$200 it says. Her World rocks my socks.

Believe me, I don’t do this a lot. But I will when there are pressing things to do, like study for exams – and like now, blogging instead of rushing essays.

I don’t even know what’s in that beauty set, but it’s Dior so I think it should be good. *whoopee*

Anyone has Her World’s November 2005 issue lying around? Let me know what I’ve won! Haha.

---

Finally, just for you [sweetiepie] - which I believe is none other than sweet Rosaline (I'm right?).

Here's Stiff Pebs.

As we can see, terrorising her and coercing her to take R(A) photos is the latest hobby in my family. (evil laughter) Wahahahaha.

Nah, I am kidding.

This rascal is a major terrorist herself. The time she is alone, I suspect she spend much of it conspiring and mastering the art of BITEology with Pepper (my ageing hammie).

But she can be a darling sometimes - especially when she snuggles up to you when she sleeps.

I love you baby. :)

I want to be back blogging.

I said I would blog but didn’t cause I spent the bigger half of yesterday working on my 1000 word essay – the one that was due Monday (i.e. 2 days ago) and the one that is depriving me of decent sleep the past 3 nights.

The smaller half of yesterday was spent at my grandmother’s wake. My mum’s mother passed away yesterday morning. But don’t worry about me, I am ok.

Coupled with the wake, this week would possibly be a test of discipline for me. Offhand, I can think of at least 5 pressing assignments to complete by the end of this week.

I’ll survive; only that you may not be seeing a lot of my posts till the workload lessens.

But I’ll be back blogging about happy things as soon as I can.
I have so many happier things I want to blog about.

Take care all.

Check back. :)

I want so badly to blog now.

BUT.

I have this essay to do and the irony is it was supposed to be handed up yesterday at 1700.

Oh wells, better late than never and my reason was kind of legitimate.

Check back later today.

I am itching to blog so you can expect a good* long** one.

* definition of good is subjective.
** long, definitely.

I hope. hope, hope, hope.

I started this day feeling the blues – of my academia; of my physical being; and of the future.

The fog kind of cleared up as the day goes along and I am feeling mostly positive now.

Most notably is the conclusion I came up for my future career track; and myopically, the decision to take up some form of internship this holiday (yes, despite being possibly underpaid for THREE months).

After much internal battle, I decided against advertising (though I don't really mind this either) and flying (i.e. flight stewardess), and go for my adolescent passion – events, something I am still very passionate about.

First thing first, to look up for suitable event management companies and do up my resume like ASAP.

I am excited at how things are going to be. Just hope I get lucky and land up in a good company. As a matter of fact, I’m hoping I’m lucky enough that someone, somewhere would take me in at least.

All I have to say I am ready to lap up this experience. I hope passion takes me far.

I hope. I hope. I hope.

:)

I want it bad.

Xiang did a very short and sweet post about our bitches!!! You can check it out here - the 3rd post for 13th March 2006.

I can’t wait for them to meet and bring the bitchiness quotient up, uP, UP.

I just hope Oreo wouldn’t keep trying to get on top of Pebble, and that Pebble wouldn’t retaliate by biting Oreo’s fur (which she really does, goodness).

------------------------

I want IT bad. More than anything else now. (Yes, even more than the exorbitant corset.)

I hope, I pray that I get IT!!!

I am not saying what IT is because I don’t want too much pressure on me and silly me wants to keep IT to myself to avoid competition. (Yes, face it - it's each for his her own.)

Just pray that I get IT alright!?

*pray hard*

I need money. Job offers, anyone?

I went out with Sindy today 'cause she wanted to shop for some birthday present. She ended up buying nothing at all and me, ended up buying a couple of stuffs - Loreal eye/lip makeup remover, MAC eyeliner and Ettusais eye concealer.

Damn. There I go spending money again, after a near $200 splurge (mostly on Ettusais) at Isetan's private sale earlier this week.

We all know how hard it is - being broke and darn, I have enough.

After a brief discussion with Sindy, I concluded that there ain't much point going for honours. After all, it's only an Arts degree. How much does getting honours value add to it, considering the fact that I most likely wouldn't be working in the public sector after graduation?

I guess I need to be flipping more classifieds to see what the market demands. If you have some insights or beg to differ, feel free to share with me your views. Needing directions.

Bringing things back to the present, if anyone has any job offers or any money making gimmick, please let me know!!!

At the moment, I don't need to be rich enough to be buying my LVs as and when I like (though I would love, love, love to). I just want to be rich enough to be buying a BRANDLESS (but nice) corset from FAR EAST that cost a bloody $89.90 and feel that it is freaking reasonable.

I ain't that difficult to satisfy. Right!?

所以我很冷阿。

I don't keep up with music, much less to say Cpop.

But I do keep my SCV on all the time when I'm in the living room. I happen to come across this chinese MV a couple of times and somehow or another, it really resonates with me. Not that I've gone through it, or am going through it - I just like the storyline and setting of the MV.

---

李崗霖╱祈禱

[李康宜‧OS]:喂,我剛剛做了一個夢,夢見我們吵架了。
[Duncun‧OS]:然後呢?
[李康宜‧OS]:然後我們就在街上碰到,結果你不認識我了!

[李康宜‧OS]:我好冷。
[Duncun‧OS]:還冷嗎?
[李康宜‧OS]:還冷。
[Duncun‧OS]:是怎樣?
[李康宜‧OS]:你不愛我了是嗎?所以我很冷阿。

(Cue: Classic goodbye f*ck.)

---

Mere script doesn't give you THAT feel. You can watch this part of the MV here. It's pleasing music too - a chinese version of a familiar Korean love song. :)

Check this out.

(Taken outside Tangs.)
This is a Volkswagen. Coolness!

Heading towards a different direction?

Today, a thought hit me.

I am not really studying. I am also not really working towards my goals - career goals especially. And worse, I am not really living even.

Days come by and go, like I have nothing to do with them. What do they call this?

Mediocrity, perhaps.

I think it’s time I do something about my life.

Start picking up the books I've forgone the last 2 months or so. Go traveling and see more of the world. Take up a new sport. I don’t know – just something new; something different; something out of my world.

I came home to fine weather and beautiful skies.

I hope this time, it signifies that things are really going to change.

And here I go again..

If I pull through this sem, would you please give me a long deep hug, or a pat on a shoulder, and tell me "I've done well"?

The march begins and there is no turning back.
必胜。

Screw everything.

I just checked the grades for my recent tests.

F*ck. I barely made the mark.

No wait, I did not make it. Then again, I shouldn't be expecting much when I didn't study much at all.

Screw sem 2.

---

F*ck. If i could, i would quit bothering and stop going school for a week.

I can, but I won't.

Now, f*ck that.

---

I just want to disappear for a while.

Leave me alone, wouldn't you.

Bugger off.

For the 2nd time in a row, I skipped my Monday classes – which consist of only one 2hr lecture from a boring Indian male lecturer. Though this time, it’s for a legitimate reason as I ain’t feeling well.

Three paracetamol and plenty of sleep later, I am feeling slightly better. Damn the cold – fever subsided and has evolved into a cough. Pfft.

Sad though, I missed going out with my childhood girls yesterday for some engagement dress shopping. I’m sorry – came home in the evening and slept ‘cause I was feeling quite terrible.

Pebble hasn’t been too good either – while I was in my slumber, she chewed on my Motorola hp charger and successfully exposed the wires within. Urg, naughty Pebble. Thankfully, the charger still works after a good tape wrap.

Here’s the latest pic of my darling girl, in an oversized garb that Collin got for her. Man, our estimation is way off. Next time, we better bring her there to try.

Introducing hip-hop Pebble:

Naughty, but can be quite a darling sometimes. :)

P.S. I've received the softcopy of the photoshoot from one of the photographers. Shall post some up soon. Check back!

Good night.

Back from a very good trip at Sentosa with Collin and I am exhausted - happily exhausted.

Sentosa is our therapy.

Nothing rejuvenates us more than fine weather and sea breeze.

Now, off to an equally good night sleep.

Good night all.
